The local area offers visitors a wealth of activities and leisure options that will suit all ages and abilities.

Banffshire is steeped in history and culture, less than 5 minutes walk from the clubhouse you will find Duff House, open from April to October, Duff House is a treasure house and cultural arts centre operated by a unique partnership of Historic Scotland, the National Galleries of Scotland and Aberdeenshire Council. The grounds of historic Duff House Country House Gallery consist of an adventure playground and play park for young visitors and picnic areas for all. There is an abundance of wildlife in the grounds and woodland walks by the river Deveron, up to and beyond The Bridge of Alvah

Banff Links is half a mile of wonderful clean sand with a children's play area and walks to Whitehills, or into Banff, along the shoreline. A popular beach for surfing and more recently kite flying.

The Moray Firth is a haven for wildlife, seals, dolphins and whales can often be seen from the shoreline, alternatively for those wishing to get a little closer, Guide Charter Cruises offer various services that will enable you to take to the sea and explore.

In June the town of Portsoy plays host to The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival which is now one of the premier small boat festivals in the United Kingdom. This festival takes place in the village of Portsoy, approximately seven miles west of Banff.

Other excursions we would recommend would be trips to the coastal towns and villages of Cullen, Portsoy and Pennan.
